National Weather Service issues warning to 'take cover'

The following warning was issued for Kerr County by the National Weather Service:

...A TORNADO WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1030 AM CDT FOR CENTRAL

KERR COUNTY...

At 10:02 AM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado

was located near Waltonia, or 10 miles west of Kerrville, moving east

at 25 mph.

HAZARD...Tornado.

SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.

IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without

shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage

to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is

likely.

Locations impacted include...

Kerrville, Ingram, Waltonia and Kerrville-Schreiner Park.

    National Weather Service is doing very well in forecasting and giving awareness about the dangerous weather phenomenon. You need to read blog for more information. Due to these forecasts, government is always able to take perform necessary precautions.
