Animal lovers who are open to the possibility of adding a new member to their family will have the perfect opportunity to do so this Saturday, June 15, when Kerr County Animal Services takes part in a pet adoption event.

Both dogs and cats will be available for adoption from the shelter when Pet Supplies Plus hosts the event at its Kerrville store, 305 Sidney Baker Street, Suite 400, from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m.

In addition to entertainment promised by the TNT Dogs and Quincy, the performing goat, the affair is expected to offer a service dog demonstration and adoption.

A bake sale held simultaneous with the pet adoption promotion will benefit Buck Wild Animal Rescue and Wildlife Rehabilitation and the Texas Round Up Animal Alliance.

Adopting a pet from Kerr County’s shelter ranges in price from $20 to $50, depending on if the animal has been spayed/neutered, if it needs the appropriate licensing from city our county entities and if it has already been microchipped for identification.

The phone number to Pet Supplies Plus is 257-4120. Questions may also be directed to Kerr County Animal Services at 257-3100.
