Lisa Solder fulfills a two-decade ambition to publish book

Posted: Wednesday, June 12, 2019 12:00 am

Lisa Solder, CRNA, says she has been wanting to write her book for two decades, and now it's finally published. Solder is a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist, who is fascinated by the eyes she sees in the operating room.

She says, "For 20 years, I've been wanting to do a photo essay of the non-verbal communication that goes on between team members during a surgical procedure, behind their masks. I spent five months getting the photos, then worked with Canace Finley, an editor and design consultant, to organize and lay out the book. My goal was just to hold it in my hands and look at it. I wanted it to be fun and meaningful."
