BEC micro-grid brings power to Totota

Posted: Tuesday, May 1, 2018 12:00 am

Nearly 80 years ago, BEC brought electricity to the Texas Hill Country and made rural electrification a reality. Today, BEC once again helped light up rural areas, but this time it was in Totota, a community located approximately 80 miles northeast of Liberia’s capital, Monrovia.

It will be at least 10 years before the construction of Liberia’s national grid reaches Totota,” Bill Hetherington, BEC CEO/General Manager said.
