Terry Thomas

Terry Thomas, age 55 of Kerrville, passed away Tuesday, April 9, 2019 at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, April 20, 2019 at Grimes Funeral Chapels.

He was born Jan. 16, 1964 in Monticello, Minnesota to David and Marian (Dorman) Thomas. On July 22, 1983, he married the love of his life, Sharon Kay Morgan, in Kerrville.

He graduated from Schreiner University and from the University of Washington in Seattle where he resided for 20 plus years. His love of Shakespeare and travel took him abroad to Oxford University in Oxford, England for a semester to study Shakespearean Comedies. He and his wife, Sharon, traveled extensively throughout the United States and Europe.

He worked most of his life in the printing business– at Herring Printing in Kerrville and PIP Printing in Seattle where he worked along side his father for many years. He then decided to switch careers and received his Pharmacy Technician degree. He worked at the Walmart Pharmacy in Kerrville for the last few years.

Terry was a fan of sports and of the arts. He had many hobbies and talents that he excelled at. He was a bowler, golfer, cyclist and gamer. Terry was an artist himself, a painter, photographer, singer, song writer and musician. He spent his life pursuing his passion of music by playing in bands, most notably, SpEnt fiXer, the Rough Edges and the Fabulous Master Bats.

Terry was a friend to all. He brought laughter into everyone's lives. He had a great sense of humor, a kind heart and would help anyone who needed it. We will all definitely miss his infectious, bashful smile and, of course, those dimples.

He is reunited in heaven with his beloved sister, Leilanie Thomas, who passed away April 3, 2005.

He is survived by his loving and dedicated wife, Sharon Thomas of Kerrville; parents, David and Marian Thomas of Kerrville; siblings, Corrinna Walter and husband, Steve of North Bend, Washington, Schylur Thomas and wife, Patti of Ingram, Gillian Thomas of Kerrville, and Kasey Nelms and husband, Charles of Portland, Texas; nieces and nephews, Sundae Oakes and husband, Trey, Noel Jordan and husband, Wade, Rory Walter, Cam Fetters, C.J.
