Juniors struggle against McAllister Park

McAllister Park posted 10 runs over two innings to defeat the Kerrville-Harper Junior Little League All-Stars 11-3 Saturday night in Texas West Section 3 tournament action at Ingram Tom Moore High School, hosted by Ingram Little Leauge.

Two doubles and a single netted five runs in the top of the second inning, putting Kerrville-Harper in a 5-0 deficit situation.

Adan Hernandez earned an RBI on a single in the bottom of the third inning and Peter Lockwood singled to score Hayden Kneese to put Kerrville-Harper on the board at 5-2.

McAllister Park earned a single run in the top of the fourth inning to go ahead 6-2.

A triple by Eric Tenery plated Julian Rhodes placing Kerrville-Harper within striking distance at 6-3 in the bottom of the fifth inning, but McAllister Park answered with five runs in the sixth to take the win.

Kneese went 2-for-4 at the plate for Kerrville-Harper, while Rhodes, Adan Hernandez Tenery and Lockwood each connected for singles.

Andy Gerisch, Kneese, Tenery and Gavin Everett shared duties on the mound, collectively allowing 12 hits and recording 12 strikeouts.

Kerrville face D’Hanis at 5 p.m. Sunday to continue tournament action.
