NEW BRAUNFELS - The Lady Hawks led at the half of their season soccer finale with John Paul II, but wound up closing the books on OLH's year with a 3-2 loss to the Lady Guardians on Thursday, Jan. 31.

Our Lady of the Hills finished its schedule at 6-8 overall and a mark of 4-8 TAPPS during its District 4 Division-III slate of games.

OLH was up 2-0 after the game's first 20 minutes on the strength of goals from Avery Morris, and Gabby Michalak.

Michalak's score happened when she missed a penalty kick, but followed it up and scored.

Gracie Morris, and Jordan Franklin also had shots on goal.

Mikayla Grocki, and Abie Benitez split time at goal, combining for

17 saves -- 12 by Grocki, and five by Benitez.

One of the goals scored by the Lady Guardians in the second half was on a penalty kick.
