The City of Kerrville Parks and Recreation Department will be accepting registrations for the Spring Men’s Open Softball League until April 23. The team fee is $425 and due upon registration. Registration is available online at and at the Parks and Recreation Department Headquarters located at Kerrville-Schreiner Park, 2385 Bandera Hwy. Softball packets, which include the by-laws and waivers, are available for pickup at the Parks and Recreation Headquarters Office and online.

Games begin on April 27 and will be played at Singing Wind Park Monday evenings at 7 and 8 p.m. A minimum of five teams are needed to conduct a league. Format will be a ten game season with a double elimination post-season tournament.

A mandatory manager’s only meeting will be held Thursday, April 23 at 5:30 p.m. at the Kerrville-Schreiner Park Administration Office. Teams must have representation at the meeting, with a maximum of two reps per team. Failure to attend the manager’s meeting may result in league disqualification. Those that are interested in playing but do not have a team can contact the Parks and Recreation Department to be considered for pick up by one of the established teams; however, this is not a guarantee.

The Kerrville Parks and Recreation Department is also looking for umpires for the Spring Adult Softball League. Starting pay is $18 a game and a hat and official umpire shirt are provided. The league is conducted through USSSA rules and umpires must be certified through USSSA.

Information regarding umpire certification can be found online at, or call Melissa Blanchard at 258-1152.
