Our Lady of the Hills High School will host “College Prep, College Proud” on Saturday, Oct. 18. This event celebrates OLH as a college prep school and the opportunities its graduates have had by attending colleges and universities of their choice.

Held on the OLH campus at 235 Peterson Farm Road, there will be multiple screens for the various college football games on TV that day. Once game times are posted for Texas A&M, UT, Baylor, Texas Tech, Notre Dame and TCU, a game schedule will be available. A featured game will be Texas A&M vs. Alabama.

Doors open at 2:30 p.m. for the afternoon games. Price is $20 for adults and $10 for students. This includes “game day grill” foods, snacks and non-alcoholic beverages. Beer will be available for purchase. There will be a raffle and silent auction with all proceeds to benefit the OLH Tuition Assistance Program. Forty-three percent of OLH students receive some type of financial assistance to attend OLH. Supporting this fund provides student scholarships.

We encourage attendees to wear their favorite college apparel. Thank you sponsors to date: Town and Country Animal Hospital, Knights of Columbus, Tom and Naty Fowler, Medical Surgical Specialists of Kerrville, Kevin and Ernestine Sutherlin, Blake and Cheryl Smith, Ken Stoepel Ford-Lincoln, Bank of the Hills, Centennial Bank, Rick Schneider, DDS, National Car Sales and Reno Realty Group.
